High Five Friday

Friday has arrived, I bid you all a HIGH FIVE just cuz we made it again!

My highlights for this week were pretty easy to pick out, it has been a great week for me!

1. We had visitors come this past weekend and drop off this 100+ year old grandfather clock, what a special gift we received!  This had been at Blaine's grandparents house for many years...not the 100 years but many.  When grandpa moved to Georgia last fall it was handed over to uncle Sonny, and he surprised us this weekend with handing it down to us.

2.  I registered for a Service Design class in August.  Despite my nervousness for taking this exam, I am finding that I am a little excited for the class.  I have lots of pre-studying that is required before the class starts so we'll see how that goes!

3.  I spent fourth of July doing things I wanted to do while the family went out fishing.  The only timeline I had was one that I had set for myself to be home in time to put a turkey on the grill for supper.  During my "alone" time I called a friend up and we spent a few hours at the mall just enjoying each others company.

4.  We haven't been in town for a few years on the fourth, so this was one of the first times in quite awhile to watch the local fireworks.  The heat from the day surprising made an exit making it an especially great night for being outside!

5.  The start of our renovation started, Blaine tore down the entry way leading down to one of our lower levels, moved the light switch and has already put up the drywall, mud and taped it!  Amazing what a change it has already made! Now, the next step is mine, I'll be pulling the carpet off the steps and landing, pulling out nails and then sanding.

Have a great weekend everyone!  Leave me a message telling me how your week went!
